Let's get this place lively, Masha'Allah.
Okay. So we're here to discuss istakharah
and some of you, have already done mister
Hala's in your life. And I feel sorry
for some of you already
because your decisions on your niqah was made
by an auntie that did hairstakala.
And she said, that's secret card.
Making Istikhara like, what what is going on?
I've done I've done this talk all across
the country. What I've gathered is people have
got this weird views on istaghada,
right? Istaghada is for you as an individual.
That's number 1. You
as an individual to make a to to
to ask Allah for guidance in making a
decision. Okay?
Is not that, you know, some some holy
auntie in your in your clan, you know,
who's gonna do her honest to her. She's
gonna come up with a decision and say,
I saw this, and therefore, you've gotta go
through this, and this is what's gonna happen
to you if you don't do this. You
know, honestly,
I don't know why people wanna interfere with
your life when istafar is really for you.
Okay?
It's for Allah told you you. Whoever you
are saying that Allah told you to ask
him to consult him to ask for guidance.
Okay?
Second thing is istikhara
guys look open your eyes. Okay? Istikhara is
not just for nikari.
Now, what honestly, where do these people get
get this inform? And another thing istaghia is
not. Istaghia
is not that you sit on your sofa
watching some Pakistani
TV channel
and then you're gonna call the mohris up
and then pay him some money and then
he's gonna basically do Istaghara on your behalf
and he's gonna sit there and read something
and chew on the kachari true and he's
gonna basically tell you what's gonna happen to
you. I'm like, all these guys, honestly, all
these guys that are on these TV channels,
I'm telling you that I'm gonna make this
disappear,
I can cure all diseases,
like you know, I'll give you guar for
anything, but like a heart disease, like a
this disease, back
disease or this little infection. But that infection,
I'm like, yo,
how people get we get into these things
in the first place. And it's because people
don't know their religion, and that's why they
fall into these tribes. Okay? So look at
it. What is
is for you to do 2 rakats and
followed by a dua taught by the prophet
of Allah
where you're simply
asking Allah the following. You're saying you're saying
this to Allah in a summary. Okay? You're
saying, oh Allah, you know this thing I'm
about to do. Is it good for me?
If it is, then please make it happen.
Yeah. Make it easy for me and put
blessings in it. And oh, Allah, if it's
not good for me to do this thing,
then oh, Allah, turn it away from me,
turn me away from, turn me away from
and
make me do whatever you else you think
is best and let me please believe. That's
exactly what you're saying, mister Har. Okay? So
a summary of mister Khan is what? In
a nutshell,
you're asking Allah. It is good. Let it
happen. It is not good. Give something else
that's better better than that.
How Allah's gonna guide you?
Okay? So in this session, we're going to
go through all the different, you know,
different signs that Allah can give you. Right?
To make that choice, to make the right
to Islam. In that choice that you're gonna
make, let me share something with you first.
There's a lot of people think that, okay,
Allah wants me to do one specific thing.
His divine will is for me to do
one thing, and I better get that right.
Straight away, you're making as a part of
a mistake. Okay? It's kind of a mistake
you're making. So let me let me take
you let let me tell you that. Allah
has written things. Yes?
But that does not take away our free
will. So we've still got our free will.
We've got a choice. Our choice is not
affected by the fact that I'm not wrote
something. Now some of you are saying,
how how is that how is that? If
I'm not wrote something and it's gonna happen
anyway, how do we have free wibnah? Let
me explain this to you, because a lot
of people don't understand this. And so there's
a very there's a very easy example in
the Quran to understand this. So let's go
back to the time of Yunus
Okay, he's the prophet of Allah, he preached
amongst the people, he told them that he,
you know, believed in Allah, Many of them
didn't. Yeah. If you follow
us and unifies that, then, you know, he
decided, you know what? You know, actually, at
this point, he was so frustrated.
He said to them, look, Allah's punishment is
coming to you. And
he said, if you don't believe his punishment
is coming, and that was something Allah said
to him that,
it's just a slight mistake of a prophet,
and Allah
was going to teach him, you know, a
lesson for this. But this is between Allah
and a prophet. A prophet never commits a
sin. He's not a sin. This is a
mistake from a prophet. So what happens is
that he leaves the city. He goes and
finds some
he says can I, you know, can I
get on to your boat? They say fine.
And then they sail on a nice day,
they sail out there in the sea.
So he was asking this thinking that, you
know, I'm just gonna leave this land and
so on. Now, they're at sea, all of
a sudden a storm hits this boat, a
big storm.
It's really dark, it's cloudy, it's raining, it's
pouring down, the the waves are gonna toss
this boat over, and the sailors say whenever
this has happened,
we've always
drawn a ballot.
Okay? We put everyone's names in a ballot
and we wrote a ballot and whoever's name
comes out, that person definitely has has upset
Allah and therefore that person is the one
that, you know, we should just throw off
his boat because that's God's curse on that
person. We better deal with this person before,
you know, our boat gets capsized and then
after that we will drown. Okay? So this
is what these sailors did. It's not something
from God or whatever. It's something that the
sailors got used to as a as a
thing. And what happened is they they drew,
you know,
a a a lot and they found that
the name that came out was Eunus.
And they said there's no way this man
there's no way this man could have done
And Usa Islam voluntarily,
he jumped out of the boat into the
sea. Straight away a whale comes and basically
just swallowed Usa Islam whole into his belly,
entirely into the belly. Now ulcerative is inside
the belly of the whale. It's a long
story. I'm gonna get to the point that
I wanna make to you, which is what?
You recite that this in the belly and
Allah says
2 different things about in the Quran.
In surah Safa, surah number
the belly of the whale, this would have
happened to him. Let it be that he
bought me. He would have remained in the
belly of the whale until the day of
resurrection, SubhanAllah. If He never called out to
me. In a second part of the Quran
in surah number 21 and 87, Allah says,
He says, He called Me from many different
from
the midst of many different darknesses.
He called me from the darkness of the
of the of the whale, the bank of
the whale, the darkness of the sea, the
darkness of the clouds from the midst of
all that, you called me from within the
valley of the world.
He said to me,
Allah says, He repeated that, He repeated that,
He repeated that. And in the end Allah
says, 'Pastor that
I answered his whole
I saved him.
I saved him from the from the stress
that he was in. And Allah made the
world come towards the shore, and
And so many of them came out to
find him. They're like, you know, we wouldn't
believe in Allah. And then when he was
at the shore, and his people came and
found him as well, they would believe us
in his message. This was a rare case
in history, but these people actually believed in
the message, Allah saved them from the punishment.
Alhamdulillah.
Okay. Now,
and if he wasn't to call me, then
this would have been his fate. His fate
was written that he will stay in the
belly of the wells until the day of
resurrection.
Allah also says, if he calls me,
then this is gonna be his fate, which
is he will be delivered to the shore
safely.
Right? So now 2 things are written for
you, sir, is that
2 fates are there.
His choice of free rule was never taken
away from
him. And now I wanna bring you in
this scenario.
You and me are going to be placed
in in many different scenarios in this world.
We're gonna find many scenarios where Allah's pulling
us. Should I do this? Should I do
that? It could be the choice of 2
things, could be 3 things, 4 things, 5
things, whatever. We're in a dilemma. We need
to make a choice. Now
Allah would have written for me and for
you, if this person chooses this university course
or if this person moves to this address
for example, then this is gonna be his
or her fate. If she moves to this
other address, because you got a choice of
moving houses, and it's up to you when
you're gonna move as you know, for for
your house. Right?
That's gonna be the case. If they not
in in place number 1, they're gonna have
this kind of name. Based number 2, they're
gonna not have that kind of name. Based
number 3, they end up in that kind
of house and whatever, whatnot. People, community,
social, conduct with all the other people, all
the the local people. That's it's all gonna
be different.
But that choice when I have to make
the choice of this area that area that's
my free will just like you know salat
alhamdhi's free will. All faiths are written
With Islaha,
this is a fantastic
way of making
the best choice. That's what we do with
Islaha.
How how is that? Okay? How that is
is that Allah knows if I move into
area 1, my life is gonna be, you
know, x y zed, whatever. If I'm moving
to area number 2, my life's gonna be
a b c. And if I'm if I
move to, you know, area number c, whatever
my life's gonna be, whatever, d e f
or something.
Or better than the d e f world
I wanna get get into. Okay? Allah knows
that. Allah knows that the worst of these
choices I can make is d e f.
Okay? In area number c. And all those
things that
else, you know, maybe area b or area
c, you know, help me, help me make
this decision. Because I don't know which one
is gonna be the best. Of course, a
was the best, where there's, you know,
and leave at choice 2 or 3 or
it could be this case.
Nothing. Alright? I'm making this account for what?
Choice 1, choice 2 area, choice 3 area.
But you know what? There's something better that
I'm not even thinking of.
Alright? Something better. There's choice number
4 or 5 or whatever in a different
area, different location. I'm not even thinking. I'm
not even looking there. So why I'm just
trying to do this for chose 1, chose
2, chose 3. Please
So this is a way of me having
Allah help me make my choice. And of
all the things of choices I make, Insha'Allah,
I won't regret it. Why? Because Allah is
gonna give me a, you know, a heart
that will feel that, you know what?
There's something there that tells me I've made
a really good choice. Even if things go
bad, I'll tell you later on how things
are gonna be better. I'll ask for later
on. Okay?
And this beautiful hadith on the prophet says,
if you were to do proper,
you would be like the birds
that leave their nests
hungry and empty stomach early in the morning,
but they return back full stomach by evening.
Now, Subhanahu, what
soon as comes in, sound for a few
minutes. Just one night. I want you to
do this test. Okay? Listen to the birds
singing at the time.
Right? They're gonna sing differently.
Soon as the as soon as the hydrotype
finishes and Fakal comes in, within about 10
minutes, the singing changes
you know, who's there to call me? I
will answer the call. Who is there to
ask you something? I will give it to
them. Who's there to seek forgiveness from me?
I will I
time. But then in Fajr time, we know
from the Quran,
that the Quran said, that the angels are
really coming down
to make it stop. I don't know. But
very, very, very morning starts, you know, treating
or chirping whatever. And then
Which bird goes to Asda,
little one? Which bird does that? No. No
bird does that. Right? The bird knows that
I'm hungry and the bird has full faith.
Look. The bird has
seeking what Allah has written for it. In
the morning, the bird in Tarakul,
which is to depend on Allah with his
faith.
By day, the bird is searching
for that thing Allah has written for the
bird. Right? By evening, this full come back
as a good night sleep.
There. You have to you have to find,
search,
look for what you want after you get
the total. Okay? You have to do that.
You have to be acting and
Allah has already
written,
okay,
that you know we you're gonna get better,
we heal, for example, I'm healed right now,
but Allah has
Our faith doesn't go in there.
Our faith is in Allah. Now when I
take it when I go out and take
the medication, right, that's soon after the prophet
when I take the medication, my faith is
not the medication. No, no, no. My faith
is in Allah. If Allah reveals that this
medication is gonna make me better, if Allah
doesn't do all the medication in the world
can make me better.
Will give you a better understanding of faith
than what we've got, of kadar and faith
and predestination. Okay? So now, now let's get
back to what I'll give with istaha and
tawaful and all of what I've said. In
istaha,
you're gonna make it istaha that you can't
sit at home and wait for Allah to
somebody bring what you want to your door.
You're gonna go back there and you're gonna
search and you're gonna try and get what
you want. But in trying to do that,
one of the really key things a lot
of people don't understand is this,
to consult. A massive part of is
consulting.
A lot of people don't even send this.
Now let me tell you, this
Whosoever does istaha will never face
failure
and whosoever
does istaha which is consultation
will never face regret. The
sister of is to consult.
This means you have to go out and
you have to consult in the very field
of what you're doing is Saharqa. It's not
it's not consultation anyway. Alright? So please, guys,
you better understand this. Okay? And what I'm
telling you now, most people don't do this.
Most people don't do this. So for example,
if you were gonna if you're going to,
let's say for example,
choose
a a a certain thing that you want.
Right? Let's say, for example, it was to
do with a business proposal that you have.
Right? So you got a business proposal. You
can go to the imam, and you can
say, imam, Sabina, I'm gonna sit with you.
Can you tell about this business? The best
thing the imam can tell you is whether
the business is halal or not. That's it.
It's gonna ask to say a few questions.
Okay. Okay. It's halal. It's iman can't do
is
is
because the imam not a businessman. He can't
tell you what a grocery shop is like
to open. Right? So where you have to
go? You have to go and consult the
people who know what it is to open
a grocery store. Okay? So go and speak
to people who've opened 1 or people who've
been in the trade or people who who've
dealt with that trade. If you're gonna invest
your money in a certain part of the
Internet, you better ask people who already invested
their money, right? Or people who invest their
money like that.
You don't need saqaa, you go out there.
Allah is gonna guide you to the best
decision through people's mouths,
through people's conversations.
I was gonna guide this one of them.
There's many signs that I can give you,
O'Kamalay. I'm gonna tell you many different signs
that I can give you. But one of
the biggest ones is what?
Let's say for example, somebody is,
going for a university course.
If you're gonna go for a university course,
Let me do a personality test. Honestly, that's
how Marie's advice should
be. Read me, find out who I am,
find out why I'm that I don't even
know about.
Kind of job really good.
You guys give me, yes or no? Yes?
Some people said yes, a lot less. Yes.
You could use advice.
Few courses in front of you. You you
need to consult. Who you gonna consult? You
need to consult. You wanna go for maths
here. You better go and consult someone who's
actually done the maths. Right?
Done the course. How difficult was it? How
many hours did they have to spend? Like,
you're gonna go become a doctor. Everyone doctor
doctor. Why are you gonna be
but I have to also look at them,
I have to read them, I have to
I have to be, you know, considerable. Of
course, I'm gonna try and get them to
be imams as well,
They quote the child
helpline to you. Wow.
If I did that when I was young,
my god.
You're gonna go for, you know, choice number
1, choice number 2, whatever, and and another
parent you're gonna decide for your child to
do this course that. But please, you know,
like, honestly, taking consideration what your child is
made of first. Right? What what are you
made of? What can you actually take? A
doctor, have you seen a lot of people
study for, you know, study medicine, for example.
You see, how many how many hours they
have to put in there now? Is your
brain capable of actually
storing all that information
in without the spinning out of your ears
when you sleep? No, I'm trying to say
that have you actually seen how many terminologies
doctors
you're gonna ask about people who've done it.
You only become a lawyer, you're studying law,
ask the lawyer, what are they goals through?
How many years? What kind of studies? What
was it like? Right? Now that you're now
that you've got the degree, what are you
doing with it?
Get all that information, get the consultation done.
When you do that,
then Allah is already guiding you towards a
decision. Because these things coming from the mouth
of the people who studied that thing, you're
gonna be seen and thinking, Wow, I don't
wanna do that. Well, I wanna do that.
Yeah.
I'm gonna give you one of the challenges
that I did regarding this. Okay? This was
all the way back in 2004.
2004, I had to make I had to
make a choice on the university degree I
was taking.
Studied for 9 years in boarding school. Okay?
So then in 2004, I decided I will
do an MA degree. I had three choices
in London. What was MA in history? 2nd
one was MA in Islamic studies? And 3rd
one was MA in education psychology. Right? Now
I did my and of course, what did
you do after this?
It's the which is what? Consultation. Consultation. Right?
But you gotta consult who?
I could have gone to my Ustaz and
my teachers in the madrasas, but I didn't.
Why? Because most of my Ustaz, they're from
Pakistan, they're
who's gone through a madrasa.
I'm also going to university.
That's who I need to speak to. So
I found someone,
listen to what kind of consultation I'm back
because this is a this is a man
who's done both.
And that's what I mean. If you're a
guy, if you're a person doing a specific
thing,
find someone who doesn't understand you,
as in you.
Not your parents or somebody else, you. They're
gonna understand you, your background, where you're at,
they've been through it as well, and then
they're gonna give you the best consultation. So
what did doctor Saab say to me? He
said to me, if you do MA in
history,
what are you gonna do after that? What
is it gonna lead you to? I thought,
you know, I've got a point there. He
said, if you do MA in Islamic studies,
all you're gonna do is repeat everything or
part of what you've done in the mother's
heart, and all you're gonna do add on
is a few Islamic terminologies in English. That's
all you're gonna add on.
Okay? For educations, I've got an entire thing
that I can go to summer publications dot
org. You'll find that the books, the children
books that we've been writing over the last,
you know, over a decade. Okay? I've used
it there. I've used it for my for
my teachers. I've done seminars for teachers how
to teach at the Maghrib ur Khanwassa.
The right person for consultation. Now let me
bring you another scenario. Let's say, for example,
you wanna you wanna let's say, you know,
These are Arabs before they became Sahaba for
the Allahu Alaihi Ibrahim. So the early Arab,
okay, this is Rasulullah Salasih is in Makarul
Karaman, you
and then he comes out his door, he
sees the bird on the tree, he picks
up a rock and he throws a rock
at the bird. If the bird flies towards
his right, yeah, I'm about the journey. If
the bird flies towards the left, he goes
back inside and says today not a good
day for a journey.
That's how they made their decisions. They were
very superstitious people
and Rasool Allah gave us is to
make our
decisions.
And we are now asking Allah's who got
directly to help us make that choice, right?
So you can make salaam for a journey,
for a investi calls, for
business proposal, for an investment,
for winning proposal. I know I'm using Sahar
al mikar. Sahar al mikar. No. It's not
just. K?
You know how many times I made mister
Hara in my life, I lost count.
Every time I come to some kind of
choice I need to make, I made mister
Hara.
Of
100,000
Ahadis. Sahih Ahadis. Yeah.
From there, he was gonna choose the most
supreme
7,000 plus Ahadis and he's gonna put it
to his boat. For him to make that
choice,
he could have done he could have put
that book together in 1 year, 2 years.
He didn't.
He then did his Istaha and
then he made his choice.
He needs 7,000
plus
istikhadas
for writing his book.
No wonder no wonder his book is so
accepted
I don't want anything back to happen to
you. But
unfortunately,
now apart from the fact that, you know,
you should sympathize with your friend. This is
fine. But if it's for divorce,
your friends come to the wrong place. Why?
Because you are not the person who's gone
through a divorce.
For anything, right? Something's happened, someone's gonna happen
with your friend, whether you're female or male,
your friend has come to you and giving
you a story. Right? As an imam, I
get this all the time. People come to
me and they say, Sheikh. My husband is
Sheikh. My wife is. I'm sitting there, you
know the first thing I do? I said,
well stop there.
I can leave you for the next 12
hours.
12 hours if you went on and tell
me all about your husband, all about your
wife. I just I can sit here and
listen to you, but I can't be in
any decision. Why?
Why?
Right? You haven't heard the other person. I
don't care how close your friend is, how
honest you think they are, how many times
they've been the most the
this does you know what this person is
doing? We humans are trained. Okay? This is
part of us nature.
And when we speak to someone about my
when I'm speaking to someone about my problems,
I wanna
tell or you're gonna tell about the other
person's, you know, bad things
and I'm gonna talk about my
Now, how can you make a proper decision
from that? You can't. That's why this teaches
another another thing is what? When you consult
with someone, if you're going to consult with
someone, you very be honest
and unbiased
and you better tell everything about yourself and
the other person as it is.
Because you want Allah to guide you through
your istikhara
And now you're consulting someone about your problem.
And if you're not honest, they'll have half
a story, they can give their decision based
on what they've had.
But how do we know that? Unless we
speak to your husband or speak to your
wife, we're not gonna find out who you
really are. And if you carry on telling
us about how much of an angel you
are, we're gonna believe you. And we're gonna
say you are an angel and your husband
is a pharaoh, we've never spoken to your
husband, we're gonna say get rid of your
husband, do this, do that,
Because if you ever consult a woman or
consult a man who's gone through divorce, you
hear a complete different, you know, margin.
They'll tell you about lawyers, solicitors,
about fees, and about children, and about the
you ever made? What happened? Tell me, go
up and tell me a scenario. Does that
scenario match my scenario?
Think,
that you start to you start to see
which you never would have seen before. Who
tell me, who knows about this? Let's say
for example one divorcee man and
you have the kids Saturday, Sunday. That's what
normally a lot of times that happens, right?
Now he's in another house. She's in another
house. Now we've got the kids between them,
3 kids, Right?
Friday night they come to him. Sunday night
they're gonna go back to back to mommy's.
Right? Monday morning they go to school. Now
You consult the people who come through it
and then you make the best choice. Right?
So any one of these things that you
wanna make, any choice you wanna go through,
you better consult the right people in that
field. Let me let me now see if
you've been listening.
Let's say for example,
you wanna you wanna go for Hajj. Okay?
Now, you you wanna choose a Hajj company.
So is it gonna be company a or
company b? You're gonna choose a Hajj I
I let let me tell you nothing. Right?
Most of these advertisements
on your TVs are gonna show you the
best
hatch
ever.
Look at those hotels. Every single one they
advertise,
they're on their on their packages and on
their on the screen.
5 starlier.
5 starlier. 5 starlier.
Okay?
But how you gonna find out which company
is not gonna come?
Stories. Yeah. They
gave us a picture of a 5 star
grand hotel, but we never knew it was
the other hotel you wanted to call the
big
So you ask them, you're gonna get a
total different meter, go to different Masjid
at before they shop, before they the kids
come out, talk to the parents, go to
the schools at 3:30 or 3 o'clock. Before
the schools are finishing, talk to the parents
outside, and then you get a different story.
So now you go Mahdi, right? You want
Allah's guidance? He's one of the best ways
to get guidance in Surah. You read a
salah, go out there like the word go
out and I'll find what you want, but
go and consult the right people. Right? And
then through that you're going to be you're
going to have have have, you know, a
guidance from Allah Azzawla.
Right? Now,
there's a lot of
of, stuff that I need to still share
with you. Where's brother Hassan, by the way?
Is he here?
So there's a lot of stuff that I
need to share with you. Right? And I
need to tell you more signs of how
you're gonna make make your decision. Right? And
what I'm gonna say you another sign right
now.
And this sign will tell you another way
of whatever I have said, you make your
decision. You make your decision of the of
after you is the hardest. So one big
one I'm giving you is through consultation,
through the words, through the through the mouths
of those people. You're gonna make your decisions.
Right? I tell you another one that I
made decision of. Right? Which was, I was
I was,
this was 6 months of I made.
6 months ago. Right? I'm on a telephone
call. It's a long call.
I made this Sahar. They say the man
before, I made this Sahar. I wanna call
to a friend. The friend doesn't know I
made this Sahar. This friend doesn't know I'm
in a dilemma and I have to make
a choice, alright? Next day I'm on a
phone call, right? Phone calls are about 50
minutes,
50 to 55 minutes. Right? On the 40
something minute, my friend goes up on a
tangent and says, you know these people?
Honestly, you're not gonna be all lying. He
was like, oh, I I just stopped it.
I just held my breath.
I listened to my friend. I thought, wow,
it's almost like Allah is putting those words
right into his heart,
come right to me and he said the
exact words I need to hear to make
my decision.
Now that's not a coincidence. My friend doesn't
know I've made a Sahar. He doesn't know
that I've got I've got this dynamic. Right?
Now, sometimes you could make istahara, you hear
you hear a lecture, you hear someone saying
something, you're in a crowd to somewhere and
you hear something like, woah,
new new project I was gonna do. Now
it was a building that we got and
there's a new educational department that we're going
to open. Okay? I put money behind this,
we put a lot of work behind this.
And then what happens? I put my and
now after this, this is what happens. After
this,
There's things that fell apart, okay, this thing
never worked, that thing never worked, and every
time I'm really trying to make it work,
it's not working. I
2 years I tried, nothing happened. Then in
2018,
okay, 2018,
I sat there one day, I looked back,
and I said
that particular education project, Muslim, Islamic education project,
never happened. Why? Because I was already involved
And I sat there and and also the
laws of this country had changed. Okay? Laws
of this country had changed in those years.
You remember Cameron's government?
The guy really, you know, he put us
on the radar.
And laws changed,
the atmosphere changed. Okay? The way they were
looking at school changed and I thought, you
know what? There's no way I'll be able
to have the time to deal with the
pressure that would have come on me if
I had opened that education project. Now what
I was trying to teach you here, Du'lama
have said another way that Allah will give
you sign is this, and you make istaha
and then like the bird you go for
what you want. But then you know what
happens? Either Allah's gonna make things really easy
for you to get that thing or Allah's
gonna
make it very difficult for you to get
that thing.
You make the istaha and then you see
what happens,
see how things either blend and come together
very easily or they come apart. Right? Like
I'll give you example. It's it's almost like
you got 2 magnets. When you got 2
magnets, if you got
certain side, what happens is they just come
very quickly together. You mean me as a
normal? Right? And you turn 1 magnet the
other way around and then you try to
So if you are trying to go for
it, but you never you're just not able
to get it no matter what you do
or it's difficult to get it, then that's
a sign that Allah doesn't want you to
go for it. But if things are like,
you know, happening wow wow that is good,
and that can happen in time, and that
thing happens, you know, with with ease and
things are being facilitated so easily, and that's
these are
What I'm gonna do is look, I've got
a lot more to share with you about
more science to tell you how to read
you istaha, African istaha. Okay? I'm sure you've
already learned and learned a lot
As if it's gonna be one of the
signs and I'm also gonna tell you how
to, you know, say the whole sahlah, inshallah.
Now, just before I do that, I'm probably,
I'm probably
Okay.
We come back to the 2nd session
of
istihada
and knowing by the istihada and so on.
Now just before I I finished off, I
gave you some
ways and some ways of basically reading the
signs and laws that will give you.
Now one of the one of the things
is that you're gonna understand
is that,
why you're named istihada,
you're trying to find
what's best for you.
Now what I'll ask them to do, we
don't know.
Why he's not gonna, you know, basically,
why he's not gonna make me go for
this chosen, or why he's not gonna show
me sign, or he's gonna show me sign.
I don't know what Allah's going to do,
but I can only hope from Allah
that he shows me some kind of sign,
right? Now, whatever sign Allah shows me,
whether it's positive, negative, end of the day,
I'm gonna use my freedom to make a
decision.
Now, in that I'm gonna give you another
story, I'm gonna learn something new from here.
So I'm gonna give you new new, story.
So
this goes back to 19,
I think that the 19 nineties. K? I
think Madusa, I'm studying.
I'm a young man. And, you know, as
you're young, you know, you could be naive
as well.
And your mother, and then mother try and
tells you dad. Alright? So that's how I
got the information to my dad. My dad
made me the istihada
and, subhanallah,
normally my dad's gonna like, I just call
the time, and that's how he rules the
house. And the next morning, he was so
my teacher, mama mama for for Ibrahim. I
remember asking God bless his soul, say, Amina.
It was one of my, you know, main
teachers and and he said to me a
wonderful thing that I learned a new lesson
that day.
He said Hassan, he said when did istaha
positive result mean
that Allah has ordained
this thing for for it to happen? When
did it mean that Allah is gonna make
it happen? That Allah wants you to do
this? That Allah is gonna make you go
in that direction. When did he mean that?
The fact is when you got a positive
result, all Allah is saying to you, yeah,
If you get married to so and so,
if you finally get to this thing, then
it's gonna be good for you. That's what
I said, and it's true. If you do
that, it's
you know, doesn't it doesn't mean that He
showed you positive sign that you have to
go for no. So what do you do
when you get a positive sign? When you
got positive feeling or sign or what about
after Istikhara,
you still have got a choice, which is
should I go for it or should I
still wait for something else to come? Or
something, some other, you know, choice that I've
got. It's your choice and a great. However,
if there's a negative
sign
or, you know, you feel very negative
about it, all the signs that you read
are negative,
then you better stay back. Because if you
go ahead after a negative sign, what you
did is you made istaghala,
you said, O Allah, if it's good for
me, go ahead, if it's bad for me,
then turn it away. And Allah showed you
the negative sign, meaning, Allah wants you
to turn away, and you still said, no,
I still gonna go ahead.
Then you're gonna find there's gonna be, you
know, a negative or a bad result coming
ahead. Okay? So only when it's negative, you
should turn away. But if it's positive, you
don't have to go ahead. And there's no
guarantee that you're gonna get that thing anyway.
One of the key things about istaha is
if you wanna be honest and, you know,
open and honest with Allah is you better
come to
Allah where your heart or your emotions
or your desires
are not attached to the thing you do,
mister Harafall. You better make sure that is
the case because mister Harafo. Look, you're gonna
probably say, all that I'm ready to turn
away if you show him negative sign, and
I'm ready to watch ahead if you show
me positive signs.
You guys you guys hear me? Yes? Now,
if your heart is already attached to it,
how you guys turn away? You're gonna find
it really difficult.
Now, if your heart is already attached to
it, how you guys turn away? You're gonna
find it really difficult. Let me give you
example. Some guy proposed to a, you know,
girl, and, you know, they've got talks going
on in the family,
and, you know, one of the things that
they did, which they shouldn't do, is they
exchange
numbers.
And the moment you exchange numbers, the card
hasn't been done. You're gonna slowly start with
the, what was wonderful text?
Seven
cities have named
the same woman's name.
Rock?
That thing is the low emotions, your desires
that have actually attached yourself to this thing.
You can't turn away now. Even if you
saw a negative sign, you will ignore it.
And you saw a negative sign, you will
ignore it. And if you saw a positive
sign, any anything that even if you didn't
see a big positive sign, you saw
something small. Right? Something small. Maybe like, you
know, you you you look at a bus
somewhere, a bus is going past you, and
on the bus is an advert, and the
advert is said bushva.
They say, that's it.
The harm you're doing. If you're gonna get
information about look, let's say, for example, right,
that you are you're going for a for
a mega proposal. Right? So people ask this
question, should you should you consult first then
do your or should you do your and
then consult next? I'm gonna say to you,
you could be either,
but please,
you know, you you could basically get some
basic information, right, about let's let's say for
example, you got the CV that's come to
you, a minor CV, which a lot of
people do, you
where the where the man works and the
woman shops.
You know what I say? Like, oh, is
it the work that you do inside the
house? Like, you know, you're gonna do this,
you're gonna do the dishes, you're gonna is
that who chose CV? I don't know who
chose CV. That's not bizarre. Anyway, a CV
comes out by a person's
a person's information. Right? Anyway, so that information
comes. Now what do you do? Do you
do this Sahar first straight away or do
you get information? Now here, you can you've
got some information. You might wanna gather some
more information, but make sure that your heart
is not attached to the person when you
go for istahara. And you know what? You
can actually save a lot of money and
time if you probably do this Sahaba first.
If you guys know what I'm gonna say,
especially
in our Bengali and our Pakistani
communities.
Right? Because what happens is, we have like
4 functions before the actual nikai.
They're gonna have one function just to get
together and say,
How much money? And you know what? In
the end, it's like, uh-oh. It's a negative
sign. What do you do right now? You
could have the nice in the beginning and
save yourself from a lot of time,
money,
effort, go through all that hassle, get a
bit of information, do your sahara. That's that's
what I'll do. I mean, a lot of
Because the thing is, when when you do
that, there's a lot of
time, money, effort, and then in the end,
you go there and then you gotta find
an excuse to say no because of something.
It's up to you. You can be used
to hale in front of you want, and
gather the information first to do consultation first.
But just make sure one thing we did,
make sure your heart doesn't get attached to
the thing you're doing the sthara for. Right?
Now let me give you
another,
another scenario. Right? This one I'm gonna be
looking. There's another sign that you need. This
sign is the sign of a dream. So
Allah
can show you a dream, and if you
do see a dream,
to be honest with you,
previously, I used to say, you keep on
doing it's the hardest to see a dream,
but that's not the case with this is
the hardest. It's the hardest you might see
a dream and that dream will probably occur
10% of the times. Right? So let me
have a quick show of hands, those of
you who actually have done istihad and
of times or less than 10% of people
are gonna see a dream related to Sahar.
I'll share another thing that I've I've learned
over the years, which is some people this
is not true to Muslims or non Muslims.
This is anybody. Some people they sleep and
they see a dream. They might see a
dream every night. They might see a dream
every other night. Right? But they see dreams.
And some people barely get a dream. That
once in a blue moon didn't see a
dream. So if you are the first type
that when you when you go to sleep
more or less every night, every other night,
you see a green, put your hands up.
Masha Allah. And now if you're the second
type that you you basically bearing a green,
put your hands up.
That you get dreams all the time, and
some of you have them you barely get
dreams. That's how Allah has made this. I
don't know what the reason is. It's got
nothing to do with you becoming someone really
pious I see dreams all the time. And
some people get you know, honestly, some people
get it gets to them. Okay? Sister,
Prabha, you've seen a dream, and maybe it
was a day double, because day double things
can sort of happen as if Allah has
His father
A true dream from Allah or
whether it's a day caboo, or whether it's
actually something you saw, but it had to
be interpreted for you to for you to
know what will actually, you know, is gonna
happen in the future. This doesn't have to
be given to you because you're so pious.
And some people are like, I've seen a
dream about you,
and if I carry on sleeping, I'm gonna
see a lot more dream about you.
Eating the 7 lean cows in a dream.
It's in the Quran. You know that king
was an old Muslim.
He saw the true dream
He doesn't know about a prophet of his
time, Yusuf alaihi salaam, who's in prison.
He doesn't believe in him or his father
or, you know, his father
Dreams of 3 kinds. And this is from
Rasool Vasavar.
And this is gonna help you understand if
you do see a dream,
and if it's related to you, it's the
harder than what you do.
Type number 1, they're true dreams. Okay? They're
from Allah. Type number 2,
they
are dreams from the shaydah.
Okay? Type number 3, they're dreams
that are from your own mind and thoughts.
So number 1,
true dreams,
they are from Allah's will tell how will
you know it's a true dream? There are
certain ways to find out. I'm gonna give
you few few things that will make you
feel that okay, that could be a true
dream.
The first thing about a true dream is
it's gonna be very short.
It's gonna be very precise to the point.
It's gonna be something very peculiar,
something that you wouldn't have usually thought about.
Something very strange, right? Something like like your
mind would never think of that. Right?
Also, these true dreams, they occur between Isha
and Fadar. Most of them occur in the
help of time, early in the morning, early
like another last 3rd part of the night
or the night just before Fadir when you
wake up. They don't occur after Fadir. Okay?
And truth mostly, they don't occur. Sometimes
after further, they they can be a true
dream. Okay?
You can get true dream at siesta time,
noontime when you're speaking, but they certainly don't
occur like after Asar or something like that.
Okay? So the nature of a true dream
is something small, vivid, very clear,
a dream on its own, something very strange,
something you wouldn't have thought about, something
somebody might see they've got long hair or
somebody might see that, you know, the teeth
is in a certain way that in the
middle, that teeth has a tooth has fallen
or some something very peculiar that you wouldn't
normally think about. It could be anything. Right?
So these are true dreams of Allah.
If you do see a true dream,
you have to get it interpreted
by people who have who know the science
of dreams. And the people who know the
science of dreams, honestly, don't go by anybody
who reads a book and tells you they
can tell you what the dream means. Most
of these people who read the book and
tell you they don't have the knowledge of
telling you about a truth. Look at Yusala
Islam.
He who the person of Allah says,
So this is how to direct Allah these
people. They have a a 6th sense of
knowing exactly what your dream,
you know, means. Okay?
So if you don't know, if you don't
know anyone like that, don't worry about it.
Don't worry about it because inshallah, that true
dream is gonna
that's number 2. Number 2 is something that
you were scared of, you know, you're frightened,
you had a nightmare. Okay? Now what do
you do with the with the back dream?
Now first thing is if you wanna stop
yourself from having a dream from the shaykhad,
you just read before
you go to sleep. Okay? Just read before
you go to sleep, and then you won't
see the any bad bad dream. And if
you do see it, it's probably something a
real bad dream, not from the shaykhan, but
a bad enough. What happened in that case?
You saw a bad dream, you read the
eyes of this in full you when you
sleep, and now you feel that, okay, that
bad dream is from Allah Azatulna. He's showing
you something bad
and I'm asking you to save me from
the evil of this dream, and then you
turn toward your left and you do this.
You imitate your spirit.
Whatever bad dream I've seen, I've said that
all my dream, the good of this as
soon as I remember, either in the morning
or later on in the day, I remember
the dream.
Bad is bad and it is actually gonna
happen to me, Allah has never shown that
in my life, say alhamdulillah.
I've never seen a bad being what I've
seen occur in my life.
Call it which means muddled up dreams. Okay?
Dreams are combined with one another. These dreams
usually are from your thoughts, from your mind.
Your mind, your brain somehow takes your thoughts
from the daytime, puts them together, and projects
it to you at nighttime.
Usually, these dreams are very long. You go
from one place to another place, one dream
to another dream, dream, one
situation to another situation, one person, maybe family
over here. And suddenly you're with a friend
and suddenly you're at the house and suddenly
you're somewhere else. Okay? These these are nothing.
I've seen several dreams, not otherwise the hardest
come as dreams, okay? I'm gonna be very
honest with you.
Of all the signs I mentioned
to you today, I like to experience all
these signs. Sometimes it's like the consultation. Sometimes
it's like something you heard. Sometimes it's like
some sign here. Sometimes I like pushing away.
Sometimes I like moving you to or towards
it. And all these experience that I've had
from istaha. Okay? All the things I mentioned
to you. And dreams, have I had dreams?
Yes, I have. I've seen very specific dreams
related to my istaha
There's no way I would have thought about
that. This is something that that you know
you're asleep, you're not in control of yourself.
And if you haven't been imagining those things
the way you saw in your dream,
and you're probably gonna see a dream for
istahara maybe 10% of the times. For 90%
of the times, you're gonna have to rely
on the other side that I'm talking about
to make the decision. And I also have
to rely on other signs to make my
decision. Okay? Now let me go I tell
you, look,
sometimes
what I'm even seeing,
in in in in a in a dream
is I've actually seen a verse of Quran
which has made me decide on exactly what
I wanna do.
You do the Quran, and you look at
a verse, if you see jahannam, then it's
a no. If you see an I to
do jannah, then it's a yes. And I'm
thinking, what about jannah and jahannama mention the
same verse?
We're gonna do that. Right? That's not the
way you decide on istaha, opening the Quran
and looking for a verse. So if someone
has told you that, that's not the way
to decide on a sabah. Now I've just
said to you very rarely, very, very rarely.
I think I've probably once or twice. You
know, I've seen a dream and I've seen
the verse of the Quran and and I've
seen the dream and I've seen the verse
of the Quran and that actually gave me
the the very, you know, decision I needed
to make. I've also had this where I
woke up from the morning and you know
what? Suddenly, I'm not a person who has
these strong feelings to the yes or no.
I'm a very logical person. I'm a very
analytical mind. Okay?
So I'm gonna say to you guys, look,
you know, if you got an unexpected,
unusual feeling of a very strong feeling like,
yeah,
your
this had this sign can only be true
in you if you don't usually get that.
Right? So what kind of person am I?
Heart and 50% of you sitting here make
decision from the head. Right? This is from
psychology I'm telling you. Right? Allah's condition that's
like this. Now, if you're a person who
usually makes decisions from the heart and then
you get the strong feeling,
you shouldn't you shouldn't rely on that feeling.
Most likely, you shouldn't. Why? Because you normally
like that anyway. Your feelings drive you to
make decisions. Okay?
So only people who usually make decisions on
the head. I'm one of those types of
people. I'm a very I've got an analytical
mind.
I can detach myself from the thing. Can
I can look at it? I can look
at it without me being attached to it,
and I can turn the thing over and
over. I don't have to look at it
with me, like, feel like I'm part of
it and then make the decision. I'm a
person who could detach myself from the thing
and make a decision. I also got, you
know, you know, I I also would take,
a lot of the consultation that I've heard,
and from that I'll sit down, I'll use
my own logical thoughts. I'm very, very critical
mind. I use all of that to try
and decide should I go here, should I
go there? Now
that's usually, okay? That's usually
when the case,
and
once only once in my life, right? I
woke up in the morning after the Nisamala
and I just have such a strong feeling
that I should be, you know, I'm or
such a strong feeling I shouldn't be. It
only happened to me once.
Okay? You should you should base also those
feelings also after consultation,
after you got the information,
after you, you know, made it, you know,
made made a logical sort of approach to
it. And some of you who made decisions
with your hearts. Okay? I'm gonna tell you
to want to do one thing. Go find
someone who's actually got a logical mind from
your friends or from your family. Put everything
in front of them, all the information gathered
together,
and let them use their logical mind to
make a decision for you. Right? Because you
don't have that, you know, analytical mind, logical
mind, detached mind to make a decision about
the thing that you're trying to get to
Sahar that you're doing Sahar about. Now,
the dreams that that,
for you to say wow, you know, you
sometimes this is gonna happen, okay? 10% of
the time like I said, you could see
something, but it's gonna be related exactly to
what you did is Tahar for. So if
you slept and you sort of dream about
something else like you put an umbrella up,
and you're in the rain or something, and
you're going somewhere, whatever, I don't know.
You can't relate that to this, the father
that you saw. But if it's something very
specific, then yes, you can. Now let me
give you an example.
In my final year. I'm gonna go for
my final year. I finished, you know, most
of it. I've got one year and I've
got a choice of finishing it off,
When you have no result, I've always learned,
either Allah has something else for you, or
Allah is just testing you, or Allah
is making you wait because sometimes what happens
is, you know, what you should do, if
you got no result, no signs, there's no
signs coming your way. I reckon you should
stop. The
ishahal
is a duaa. And for you to repeat
it any du'a is fine. Right? Rasulullah salallahu
alaihi wa sallam used to repeat his du'a
three times. So you can repeat your isaha
as many times as you want.
That that is a present in your heart
that is something which you don't want you
to do now.
Many of the olemaq's with this big hadith.
Okay. No problem.
But the hadith does talk about, you know,
if you wanna make
a repetition, you can make a repetition of
suhada. And from some of my suhada, I
have done it 7 times. I've done it
9 times.
Some of you, I've I've done it like
I've repeated another 7 times, another 7 times.
Sometimes I've just done it few times. Like
someone by suhaha, I've just done it once
or twice, few times. Sometimes I've just done
it once, and I've just done it done
it once, and I'm just not doing it
again. Okay? So you got a choice on
the hand time you're gonna be is nahaz.
Anyway, I've got a choice now for my
final year, and I've done multiple isnahaz, and
I've done multiple isnahaz, and I've done multiple
isnahaz, and I've done multiple isnahaz.
I want a choice now for my final
year,
and I've done multiple
and nothing's coming. Alright? In the end, I
I met one of my teachers here in
this country, I
come to, Karachi,
and if you pass the test over there,
I'm gonna give you a test. If you
pass it, then you'll straight into Darul Karachan.
I said, okay. Fine. I've decided on that.
Right? So I decided on that. Fine.
You know, dad, you know I'm going to
Pakistan for my last day. He says, me,
Dukran.
He says, be quiet.
I said, why
you have got connections through the first month,
say, you are at in Dewsbury. You've got
connection with all your, you know, teachers from
India. And with the second one that you
are in Nottingham, you've got your connections with
your Pakistani teachers from Pakistan.
But you haven't got barely
where are you going?
I said, Bangladesh. They said, what for?
I said, you're studying?
Really?
You know, someone off the boat like this.
You know?
I
won't I was gonna use the word freshly,
but I I I wouldn't use it. But
anyway, please forgive me please forgive me. I
want nothing against you guys.
The British lads, why they kinda don't wanna
go out and go here, you know, in
Sanmi, my lingo, my whatever. Right? You know,
like, you know, the you know, the the
type of life that they have. Right?
He comes he comes in marriage, she comes
in marriage.
She's like, okay. So what have you guys?
I'm like, you know, I've got a job.
I'm like, I've got a job too.
You got money? I've got money too. You
got time in this country? I've got time
in this country too. You're gonna show me
some I'm gonna show you my strength too.
Is a bit of an ingredient for trouble.
Right? Now, of course, if you get married
and then you kinda think, you know, you're
not gonna come for, you know, with that
challenging mind, okay, with your husband or your
wife.
Over there and you're gonna get married,
may Allah bless you. But for me, in
1996,
I'm like, there's no way I'm getting married
to someone over there. Right? So here I
am. I've walked into an Istaghad.
And if Istaghadadad, I just saw a tree.
Because I remember I come here, I'm gonna
tell you about my tree. So I saw
a tree, what can I see? I saw
my mom, my dad and an elderly cousin
brother, and all 3 of them searching
the earth of Bangladesh
to find me
a
wife.
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna say that
word. Some of you might be offensive with.
Some of you might be offensive
if I use that word
or I could play dumb.
And I thought to myself, you know what?
The best thing is gonna be for me
to play dumb.
And I play dumb.
It's a long story. I'm not gonna go
into the full story, but when the time
came, I had to get out
mission impossible. You know, you know, that was
very difficult. I said, I I phoned in.
I put my own ticket. I I basically
disrupt my exams. I told them I'm gonna
leave. And then guess who were the 3
people that were behind this?
My
dad, my mom, and my elderly cousin, but
the whole 3 of them are planning all
of this. And I, you know, I had
to leave them. I told my dad, look,
remember I told you that
this particular one, I did still agree
and it was related very much to the
to the exact in that land. Sometimes in
Istaghara, you could actually be in that
take place. So don't think that that's the
go in and all of, you know, if
I don't see a dream, I'm not gonna
make my decision. No. That's not the case.
And especially, please, guys, have mercy on yourself.
Don't let an auntie
make it istaghala
and of your family, and she's gonna decide
for your future.
Because she's only deciding for you to get
married to whoever it is because that's your
cousin. You know what I'm saying? Like, well,
that's someone she's always been, you know, *
bent on for
Whatever. I have to, but should that really
have an effect on your choice? No. Your
choice is your choice end of the day.
Right? And I don't really like it when
other people get in between, like in Bradford,
I was we were there in Bradford, right?
And then somebody said, I made it Sahar,
my aunt made Sahar, and then she wants
to, you know, take it her way of
what I should do. And I said, are
you from
of the many signs that Allah could send
you away, okay? So now, I'm gonna share
with you one more istakha that I did,
okay? And this is what I did, okay?
And this is what I did, okay? So
now, I'm gonna share with you one more
istakha that I did, okay? And this is
what I did, okay? So now, I'm gonna
share with you one more historical
that I did. Okay?
And this one I based it on weighing
information and looking at my own situation. Right?
So basically,
this
happened a few years back, we had this,
we had this thing about that I had
to decide for my daughter which school am
I gonna send it to? And she was
actually selected for a school that was a
grammar school. Okay?
I did have a
feeling from a dream that I did see
also, but I also put my logic to
it. Alright? My logic was this, when you
if you're ever in a situation where, Marshall,
you find yourself gifted and talented,
you've got good news and you've got bad
news. The good news is that you're gifted
and talented. The bad news is what? Everyone
tell me? You won't accept
That your peers your peers, the people of
your level, the people of your age, they
can start bullying you. Right? Because they're jealous
of you. You can't do me. Yes or
no? Yeah. Right? So basically, I will see
that in my house anyway because my 2
sons,
So I needed her to get on with
her age group. So for that, with that
logic in mind, and I really looked at
the situation, I thought, you know what? She's
gonna go to that school.
Almost like a doctor at the age of
16 or 18 that you talk to the
specialist at the 16 or 18. And then
she can't get along with the people of
her age. And what's
and kids in that school are actually, you
know, passing drugs at break time. Afrahal handlers,
another good reason that made my decision. Alright?
So sometimes it's weighing your situation. Look at
it for some other information. Right? And say,
you know what? With all the things in
front of me, this is the best decision
that I can make. But I didn't have
some kind of a feeling from a dream
as well that I saw. So I'm gonna
I'm gonna add that in. But there are
decisions that
I'm gonna add that in, but there are
decisions that I've made which are which are
to give information,
consultation,
lodging, put it all in front of you,
analytical mind, and then you assess it and
say, you know what? This is probably the
best choice that I'm gonna make,
in going ahead now. I'm not gonna I'm
not gonna share with you the istaha of
salah and dua. Okay. How do you do
istikhara salah to get results, like, to get
a sign? So the biggest thing I'm gonna
say to you is to choose your timing
and your and get your devotion for Isdal
Salah. Okay? Because you wanna do Isdal Salah
at a time when you're most calm And
you wanna do ista'ala salaat a at a
at a time or a place or whatever
where you're not gonna be distracted. And also
when you when you say these words, you
wanna make sure that you got the devotion
to Allah. Okay? Go to YouTube, put my
name in, put the word
next to it. Okay? And you will see
a whole one and a half hour lecture
that tells you how to get your concentration
in salah.
Use that. Go and see that. Okay? After
that, do your true rakat. Do see how
much devotion you have
in your true rakat. What's the time I
normally use? I only use that night time
before I go to sleep. Why? Because that
time no one's gonna bother me. No one's
gonna bother me. I'm most relaxed. The whole
house is quiet. Okay? And such a calm
time to get the devotion. So that's the
usual time that I do suhara. But you
can use suhara anytime you want except for
3 times. What are the 3 times you
shouldn't use Sahar?
Is Sahar cannot be made? Okay? Sahar cannot
be made after your fajr fart
till the sun
rises
and 20 minutes or 15 minutes before Zohu
Sala comes in and also after your asr
farm till the sun rises,
these are so as a simple sunsets till
the sunsets. After your asr front till the
sun sets,
these are the three times you cannot do
any nafulsalah,
so there shouldn't be any istakhaal salah done
in that. But any other time you can
do your Istaghal salah. But try and find
the time when you're most relaxed and do
your Istaghal. Now, when you do your true
records, okay, so normal true records,
try and get your devotion, get your concentration,
especially when you say Iddinas salaam is stuck
in because you say go all my values
in the straight bar. When you go to
your sudul, it's the closest position you're gonna
be to a bathroom done. So
a book with this tahara written on it.
You can find this tahara
anywhere on the internet. Okay? You can find
YouTube videos that will tell you how to
recite it in Arabic. Okay? So Alhamdulillah,
you got that thing to do. So don't
make an excuse that you can't say in
Arabic. The dua should be said in Arabic.
If you can't, if you don't know Arabic,
no problem. Many places on the internet have
got transliteration.
Okay? So they'll literally write out for you
how you should say Dua. On YouTube, you
can find people saying Dua. Just play, pause
it, say Dua as in it, play, pause
it, and say
what are you saying in this nakha alduha?
You're saying, you're saying Allah my O Allah,
through your power. So Allah asking you to
give me power from your power.
Okay?
And I am asking asking
you I'm asking for the best of your
bank. I mean, your great your great bank.
I'm
asking you to give me that. Why? Because
I don't deserve for you to show me
a sign, but I'll be very happy if
you can show me a sign. Show me
some kind of guidance, some guidance, some guidance,
some guidance, some guidance, some guidance,
If you know that this natural mind, this
affair of mind, this thing that I'm about
to go to all and do, if you
know, high gunita is good for me.
Good for me in what? Good for me
in 3 areas. Number 1, good for me
in my religion.
Number 2, my life.
In the long term. And I wanna be
happy in the long term. Okay? So number
1, I don't want my religion to be
effective with any decision I made.
And if you know that this and I
had a but this affair of mine that
I'm not about to go towards
sharonuli is bad for me
his bounty.
We we we're telling him to tell us,
you know, about the best decision to make
in the uncertain future uncertain future ahead of
us.
The best decision for my my life here,
my next life in the hafira, make it
easy for me to bark our lessons in
it, and make the final outcome the best
outcome,
you know, go ahead and and do all
the things that I said. Either go and
try and get what you are. Allah will
either make, like I said, the 2 magnets.
Okay? Either that will happen. Go
see what signs Allah shows you from people's
mouths, from things that you experience, from behaviors
that you see,
from many things that Allah will show you,
and put it ahead of you and then
sit back and then you decide. It could
be a dream like I said, but it
doesn't have to be a dream. It could
be a logic. It could be your assessing
your own situation. It could be very much
going to the people that are in your
situation. Go and find me them, consult with
them, and from whatever you've heard from all
those people, you come back and say, you
know what?
The fact that we we just done this
2 rakats and we're gonna go for,
we'll make the dua. Now the ulama has
said this, your heart will be connected to
Allah, number 1. Number 2, you will you
will actually, you know, you're happy with whatever
Allah decides for you. So you ask Allah,
turn me the direction you want me to
go. So you're happy with that. Number 3,
you will find success in both worlds. Number
4, your heart will be content. I've asked
Allah. I've consulted Allah. I've asked Him for
help. Number 5, you're in the rule for
it. Number 6, you'll put your trust in
Allah, which is tawakkul, and that's a reward
in itself as well. Number 7, is gonna
take you out of doubt. Okay. Number 8,
you're following the sunnah of the prophet
number 9, you're asking for barakah from Allah.
Which is that
good, and good, and amazing things come from
you. But from a living you have a
lot Allah
gives you. Okay?
So
sometimes conversation is to you, sometimes you make
istaha, and this what happens. You make istaha
for her, it's positive. She makes istaha for
you, and it's negative. You make
you might not be able to get the
get the dua. You haven't got the time.
You haven't got the wudu. You haven't got
anything. Okay? So there is a dua of
Rasulullah, which is it's not an Istaha, but
it's it's a way of what's
which is it's not an Istaha,
but it's a way of still asking Allah
for help. It's not the Istaha, by the
way,
Well, just turn to Allah and say Allah,
Allah,
please decide for me. Allah, please make them
make the decision for me. Usually say this,
Gaurav, whenever I'm going in a in a
consultation with with a project that I have.
So basically, if I'm in my own academy,
if I'm doing something with my own work,
I've got a big meeting in that meeting.
I usually make a draw at the beginning,
and we wish Rasool Allah made
sakharah. Okay? So don't think this is a
shortcut
based sakharah. Okay? But it does help you,
like, you gotta make a good choice of
something you turn to Allah,
please, you know, make the decision for me,
help me to to make the right decision.
Okay? You can do that. But nonetheless, it's
not really Sahaba for the proper Sahaba, you
need to do the and then you say
the dua that is there, this Sahaba Dua
and for your information,
This book is for teenagers and for adults
as well. In page number 200 and something,
they somehow advise them with many of the
much of the information that I've shared, but
it's got so much other
I will find you readily available on the
internet insha Allahu alaykum. Okay. Now what I'm
gonna do is I'm going to open to
q and a. Okay? So
gonna ask systems for any question that they
got, and I'm gonna ask brothers for any
any question that they got. From there, we
can continue. So brothers first, if there's any
any questions, I'll hand up. Let's go on,
brother. Starting with Sheikh. I see. Thank you
so much for your
Okay, that's a very that's a very good
point that you you go up, which is
the when you say the dua
and you're saying you're saying the full dua,
you can eat it in your mind as
you use your Duaa sihalah,
throughout the Duaa just think of what you
want to do for or
when it comes to 2 parts, especially 2
parts in the in this
which is
this affair of mind. When we mention the
word
it comes twice in the door of the
Sahaba. Just think of what you're doing Sahaba
for. Okay? And that's enough.
You don't have to
mention what you're doing is Sahar for. If
you're an Arab, you can actually mention it.
But for for generally for all of us,
you don't have to mention it. I've done
most of my without mentioning it. Okay? Any
guys with a question?
Yes,
Assalamu alaikum. Yes, ma'am. At the end of
the dua, it says make me happy with
your decree.
What happens if you're not happy with it?
So you know that when you said make
me happy with the with the decree, what
that means is that if you turn me
away from this
and then you give me a second thing,
as it's something I never I never even
asked you. So some other place, some other
thing, right? Which I I didn't even know,
but you took me that direction.
Right?
So
was my original thing to go for that.
So I might be hesitant to go for
that other area. But when I go for
that, make me happy to leave. I I
think
is going on here? She said, but Sheikh,
I'm happy now where I am.
I said, how?
She said,
because through this bad husband,
I found my Abba,
I found my Hijab, I found my Salah.
These are the three things she said.
She went she did debate, but now she's
come up where she's happy, she's really happy,
she said. But, you know, now just time
for her husband to come to the straight
path as well. As if you're practicing, becoming
a practicing Muslim as well. Sometimes that can
happen that Allah
a to z. You want it to be
good for you. And most of the sons,
each other will go over a nikah, each
other your husband, your wife, you want her,
you want him to be good you want
him to be good throughout the whole thing.
Yes? Yes? And inshaAllah most of you result
from like that. Sometimes what happens is this,
on the other occasion, you go for it,
7th year you're flying, you pay all your
debts. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, so 20th
year, 25th year, you've been smashing.
If one of the choices means, right, that
is the best for me
and you know is the best for me
and sometimes the best result will come up
and anyway, but what you're saying is if
it's a choice between the two scenarios, our
brother has a scenario where the best things
come to go for them.
Right? So you need to have some like,
let's say for example, you wanna you wanna
do something and then you do Sahar. That's
what Sahar is for. It's not like, oh,
that's not what istaha is about. Okay? I
just want to say one more thing that
I didn't add to this lecture which I
need to add, which is
They didn't know should they pay in Janaza?
Should they not do it? Should someone leave
in Janaza? Should they bury him in Makkah?
Should they bury him in Madia? Or should
they do? Okay. But what are the choices
was? What kind of what kind of graves
should they dig for the?
There's 2 types of graves. Okay? One is
a straight rectangular shape. Okay? You dig in
the ground. You put the deceased in the
corner, put some plants of wood or something
on the side diagonally, and then the soil
goes on top of that. That's what is
shuddhan alibi. That's basically
Shirkuh Abi and that basically,
it's a it's
it's, you know, it's a time which Rasool
Allah also legitimized in his time.
Dig up, dig this way, and then dig
back up again. So it's an L shape,
and then you put the deceased in across
in the
latter part, you know, the end part of
the l, and then you put another cover
over him, something that stops the soul from
falling over him, some kind of barrier, and
then you you you feel this this power.
So the Sahaba need you to make a
choice of what do they do, which type
of brain. And this is how they made
the choice. They made the Sahaba and they
said there's 2 making Madinah. 1 man, he
he digs the first type of grave, and
the second one, he digs the second type
of grave. They said whichever man comes to
us first, because both of them are okay.
Rasool Allah subhan legitimize the second one as
well, which is called lah al arid. And
they said whichever man comes first to us
out of the tune that is the grave,
we're gonna go with that choice. And then
God have dug the l shaped grave, he
came first and then made him did that
grave. Okay? So that was another way they
made a decision. Any of the guys have
got a got a question?
Yes.
Exactly.
It's a no. If it's a red something,
I don't know what colors they have. Right?
But I wouldn't actually go with that. Because
why? Because different cultures and different settings have
different meanings for different colors. Right? So red
for a
Okay? I've made my decision as a dad,
right? Setting stop,
right? Omega, this is not a good his
wife,
right, is for him.
I'm gonna give you, I'm gonna give all
the tips of how to keep your wife
happy, I'm gonna give her all the tips
of how to keep your husband happy, after
that I'm gonna say, both of you get
out of here, I'm over there, I'll make
yourselves happy.
My daughter's happiness is gonna come first. Okay?
So I need to bear that my and
it's look, you gotta remember this, like, we
we got married at a time when things
were very different. These kids are getting married
at TikTok time.
Right? It's a very different era that we're
living in.
Because my teachers were from India, from Pakistan.
They used to say, you know, basically, they're
trying to say that you're softest, you know,
softest to us. In the UK, starting here
in the nineties, they say, you made of
plastic.
I look at my students and say,
you made of polythene bags.
Right? So please please take that take that
in consideration.
What is this? If you want your daughter-in-law
or your son-in-law
there's gonna be more. I just tell you
that because they're from a different era. You
find it difficult because, you know, you know,
you've got 2 generations about the way they
treated their
3 separate 2 recaps, 3 separate guards. That's
why you're gonna have the 3 choice because
I'm making 3 different it could be that.
It could be that.
It could be in one night or one
day about is a lot of a visiting
for a school thing, for a protecting here,
for a jail meeting day, it could be
3 separate
Pause.
Because you can always
do this haram if you repeat it again.
There's nothing wrong with repeating it after you
confuse or after you even if you got
negative signs. So sometimes I've done this. I
do Sahar today as negative. I I won't
go ahead.
6 months, it's not gonna be good. It's
good for me. I'm not showing a good
sign. Right? Now, what she's saying is if
you are getting confused like you've got positive
signs, negative signs, what do you do? Well,
I would say to you to stop. Don't
go ahead. Don't go back. Just leave it.
Maybe something else is gonna come. But there's
no no nothing wrong with you repeating this
saha at a later time or just leave
it for a while. And then, you know,
because some people what they've done is they've
done a saha like this year
What is there's there's a lot of superstitions
and things and,
they they link it to the religion.
And what I'm gonna ask is, is what
you mentioned about opening up the Quran on
a certain page and, and reading from that
page and expecting that to answer your
question,
is it sort
of reliable in No. No. So so the
question is is is opening the Quran and
then seeing something in the Quran negative or
positive and then making decision about is that
reliable for Sahar? The answer is no. Because
you don't know how to I mean, how
how do you read that? Because look, in
one eye, you've got so many things going
on. How do you make your decision on
your eye just falling on an eye? I
I don't I don't I don't get it.
So I would say no to that. Don't
don't make a decision on that. What's the
second thing? Yeah. Because what it is, it's
it's this certain people
how do we do like the the coffee,
fortune telling. No. No.
No. There's there's no fortune telling in in
in in our religion, number 1. And there's
no fortune telling in istaha
If Allah shows you a dream and that's
to do like I gave you one example,
right?
Brother. And then that's that's something that was
unique. I saw that. And that was exactly
what it was. Right? But it's not unfortunate.
Sometimes I reveal something to you of the
future that could happen. Right?
And and sometimes you will see things like,
for example, you're trying to get married to
someone,
Allah show you reality perhaps in the future.
Sometimes you see a sign and you're really
getting over that place, you're so happy with
that person in a dream. Now
That's you're the last person. So only could
you So Just wondering how many nights, can
you do this other I I would mention
that you can do, as many as much
as
should I get married right now or not?
And you do miss Sahaba for that. That's
fine. You you because that's you're asking, is
it good for me to get married right
now or not? That's fine.
But if you're saying that there's no marriages
that I'm doing istaha so that someone can
come along, that's not what istaha is for.
Istaha
Allah has allowed, and for the closing that
Allah has allowed, it's not a thing that
you're trying to bring that towards you from
the unseen. It's not that. It's like you
got a trouble you got a situation like
a proposal has come. I wanna do
